Is it cool to be an inconsiderate, unappreciative DICK?
Question:

Is it cool to be an inconsiderate, unappreciative DICK?
I was at the gym earlier today. I was doing skull crushers and noticed a guy who was about 18-20 doing barbell bench. He was about 5'9 145, goofy ass curly hair, cut off shirt, carrying a gallon jug of water, and thought he was the shit. He did 135 a couple of times, bumped it to 155 and managed 2 half reps, and came real close to getting stuck on the 3rd rep. He then loaded 185 on the bar, and I thought I would go and offer him a spot. The little bastard didn't say a word, and stared directly at me, like I was some f*cking retard. I just stood there for a second, and then figured that his gesture meant that he didn't need a spot. I was SO hoping that the bar came down and crushed his sternum. He ended up going down about 4 inches, and then back up with it. Some people are such *******s. Do you guys think I was in the wrong by offering? I myself would have appreciated someone offering to help.
Cliffs:
I was being nice offering a spot
Little weak shithead pretty much ignored me
I wanted to snap his neck

Answer:

Answer:

Sounds like he's very insecure. But you did the right thing, one time I was benching a pretty comfortable weight. I started thinking about totally random stuff and all of a sudden the bar was on my chest I couldn't move it half an inch. But some guy quickly came over and helped me put it up, probably saved my life lol.

I stretch alot in between sets, I think people view me as thinking im bad ass.. but , also doing like a lil powerwalk gets me pumped up lo.

Answer:

No thread hijack or anything but if you spot someone and they are struggling do you shout words of encouragement at them?
It helps me a lot if someone is shouting at me or just trying to get me pumped, I do it when I spot strangers but not to the same extent as when I'm with work out buddies. is this a faux pa?

If I have never met you, I will try to encourage a few extra reps...usually by screaming "come on you f*cking pussy, my Goddamn grandmother can do this, I'm not touching the bar, if you can't do it then I hope you enjoy suffocating under that bitch ass weight you are attempting to get" (not serious)
