Question:
Anyone actually believe that steroids caused chris benoits rage
anyone actually believe that steroids made chris benoit do what he did. i dont. people have been taking steroids for years and there are very little cases where people act like chris benoit acted. my opinion is that chris benoit had a mental issue. maybe steroids cause rage but not a 3 day rage. cant even believe someone could do something like that. i mean its not like the guy was struggling in life and didnt have a pot to piss in. he had a great career. making tons of money. beautiful house and cars and probably anything he wanted. what a waste of a great life. most people can only dream of living a life like that. it takes alot of work to get to live like he did and then he throws it away just like that. all that hard work for nothing.
Drug abuse in pro wrestling goes far beyond steroids. Painkillers and coke being common addictions. Doubtful that roids had a whole lot to do with it.
The odd thing is that according to the 2002 NEJM low testosterone is more linked to aggression, not high testosterone (aggression, in general, is often caused by frustration). Then again, I've seen the same misconception at this forum (ie: "my testosterone must be high because I've been really pissed lately").
I doubt steroids had anything to do with Benoit's rage. After reading the police reports it sounded like pre-mediated murder.
benoit had years of not just steroid use but prescription drug use and painkiller abuse as well... hard to say what exactly pushed him over the edge but with all those substances constantly in his system theres no way you could say its just steroids. the media has jumped on the steroid issue again, I think the bigger issue here is OTC drug abuse though, which is much much MUCH wider spread than steroid use.
ya know what alot of wrestlers and other athletes as well take alot of drugs and they dont have this behavior. the guy had some screws lose in his head. obviously he was mentally unstable
this case actually wasnt bad b/c even all the doctors who were brought in for opinions said that they had nothing to do with it... only the news media said otherwise

I think he may have been set up and framed for murder. If what I heard is accurate, he killed his wife and son right? Wife aside, what could his kid to to make him want to kill him too? After all was said and done, he hung himself right?
Why would you hang yourself?
There was also a syringe that he injected with right before hangin himself too right?
Looks like someone wanted him dead, made it look like it was roid rage cuz the whole world would believe it and not even question it with a syringe left right there, ya know?
Kill his family, plant evidence of steroids (freshly injected even) have it look like he raged and went crazy, it's the perfect murder.. JMO

JMO yeah ya know what that makes alot more sense. at first when i heard about this i thought he and his family were murdered but then when i heard the experts say it was murder suicide i was shocked just like everyone else was. yeah but if someone did murder him and his family why would the murderer stick around for a few days thats pretty risky seeing that most murderers kill and then there gone. yeah thats pretty sad that he killed his own son. most people might understand getting into a rage with your wife and accidently killing her but he tied his wife down and everything.
who really knows but can u make anything rational about someone who is crazy like why did he kill his son? why do most of them do it its because they are crazy imbalance in the brain

JMO you are smart as hell if you came to that conclusion by yourself. i seriously never thought about that, but knowing how ignorant the population is about steroids, you're damn right, it's the perfect murder
edit: also, as for the syringe at the scene, why would he shoot steroids right before ending his life? what's the point?
i think its one big ****ing joke that steroids are the center of attention...
someone who hadnt been taking any drugs could have commited the same crime, it's ridiculous that the media has pinned this particular crime on steroids.. also strange how spotlight has completely eluded other components of the wrestler's "cocktail," like pain killers...
might have been a setup for all we know. just ridiculous that steroids were burned right from the start..
ya know what i think the world would be alot happier if it was a setup and someone murdered him and his family. its pretty disturbing to see a guy murder his wife and son. but obviously the investigators have reason to believe that indeed this was a murder-suicide. the evidence is obviously too strong to think otherwise. if this was a setup and he was murdered then the people that did this were professionals. but i doubt it was a setup. the killings happened over a 3 day span. no murderer in there right mind is gonna wait 3 days to kill everyone and then leave its way to risky to get caught. if someone is gonna murder you there gonna do it then there gonna take off as soon as possible. like the DA said it doesnt matter how much drugs you have in your system it doesnt justify what happened.
