Question:
Chinese Food? ( Yes im serious)
Now msot people may think of chinese food as being a no way can i eat it, fast food kind of thing but realistically if your eating one of the types of chicken with their broccoli, corn, then add some rice on that ??? that sounds pretty good to me... i no a lot of it is probably fried and they put some oils and such in it but overall I really dont see taht much wrong with this
uhhhhh...ok...glad you dont see anything wrong with it...i think ill skip the 14 gigagrams of sodium in chinese food and make my own chicken and broccoli
I get terryaki chicken with all white meat on brown rice...it's pretty healthy but loaded in sodium :(.
it's fine if its not deep fried. lots of sodium, sometimes lots of sugar, thats about it
if you have the metabolism for it, its great...at 6'2 164, you do

And I LOVE chinese food...haven't had it in ages, the last time I did I got sick :(
haha. i eat Chinese food all the time...thats because the store by my house has a nice health menu. i get the chicken broccoli which has steam chix and broc with absolutely nothing on it. they put the sauce on the side. i couldn't make it better myself. a lot of Chinese stores by me are offering healthy selections with brown rice so be on the lookout for it.

ever try adding a slice of american cheese to that mix? its gold man. pure gold. ahh damnit.... now i crave ramen.... thats cuz you are korean. Shin cups?
thats cuz you are korean. Shin cups? the parents usually buy a box of the shin ramen bags. but yeah, i didnt even know about the cheese slice thing untill a couple years ago. another strange yet fekkin awesome combination is gogoma (sweet potato) and ripe kimchi.
question, is the only negativity in eating something with such a high dose of sodium in it (such as many chinese dishes) that you will get temporarly a bloated look (retaining water). Or are there other lasting, long-term effects? Does it contribute to body composition?
Enjoy!
sodium is fine. We chinese people been eating soysauce and sodium in excess for thousands of years. BLoated? Do you see my SIX PACK?!
you don't want a puffy face now do you... Ate ramen before bed all through high school, woke up every morning feelin like a million bucks. Ecto metabolism ftw :).
I used to eat chinese food the night before a wrestling match.
I'd get steamed vegetables with chicken and no sauces. Tasted pretty good and filling.
And the next morning I'd be a couple pounds lighter than what I weighed out at before eating.
Yea bottom line is u got the metabolism u can be eating it... that simple
if your eating "americanized" chinese food, its unhealthy.
however a lot of authentic chinese food isnt.
Lots of steamed food. LOTS of vegetables. Lots of Roasted Meat. Light Stir Fries with sesame oil.
If your ordering out ask for no MSG and less soy sauce, simple.
Yea bottom line is u got the metabolism u can be eating it... that simple yeah once in awhile I eat a whole order of General Tso Chicken and I don't get fatter or anything... mmmmm.
Its very fatty also contains too much salt in one sitting of a meal.
I've always eaten chicken w/ broccoli and white rice. No sauce, ever! I think it's pretty much as healthy as you can get, from chinese places. I used to live on a street where my house was flanked by a chinese restaurant on either side, both about 200 feet from my door! Heh so we were eatin' from there alll the time
