I'm 160 lbs and im consuming about 125g protein daily, how do you guys think I will fare? Thanks...

Some people actually prefer to go higher on the carbs while bulking and go a little lower on the protein.
I can tell you from experience with people though that 1 g per pound is a very good general rule. I know some bodybuilders that go much higher into the 2g per lb range and do very well.

I usually keep protein around 1-1.5G per LB BW while "bulking". and I'll put it up around 1.5-2G while "cutting".
Yes protein is very important. Its what your muscles are pretty much made of.
As important as protein is however. You cannot neglect your carbohydrates and your efa's. As those are the builders.

Most people when bulking, no matter how hard they try to keep them off, see fat gains. To many, it's inevitable.

Calories are calories, and as such, protein can be turned to fat. But, when trying to build muscle and lifting hard etc... the last thing I would be worried about as far as fat gain would be the protein... Personally, I'd be thinking a lot more about all the carbs people generally tend to consume when 'bulking.'

Just worry about a calorie surplus. It would be pretty impossible not to get the protein you need if you are eating over maintenance.

if you are working hard in the gym you may lose muscle mass if you do not have enough protein. muscles are made of protein. it just seems to make sense to eat lots of it to get more muscles...

Personally I see no reason why 160g of protein per day would be a problem. I don't even really have to try to get 200g, it just sort of happens.

I'm not sure what grocery stores you have but the ones around here always have buy one get one free on eggs and every other Wednesday have 1.99/lb chicken breasts. It isn't that hard to get that much protein in throughout the day. You just have to eat whether you want to or not.

buy it in bulk and enjoy.. its also cheap.. whey is somewhere aroudn 50c a serving
eggs are cheap as hell and can buy in a good bulk along with tuna and chicken
cottage cheese is about 2 bucks for 24oz in a store.. not bad at all IMO
