Question:
Chicken or Beef ?
Which is the better source of protein? Why?
I'm gonna guess chicken. I've been consuming a steak everyday for the last two months and I was getting sick of it. Just stocked up my freezer with a TON of chicken breasts. It's easier to eat lots of chicken than lots of beef.
With all the food I have in my freezer and now that I have started hitting the gym as opposed to home workouts... I think I'll easily put on five pounds of muscle in two months.
I don't know how many of you saw my "before" photo from Aug. 3rd... but I have made DRASTIC improvements in the last 30 days alone.
the answer is both. mix it up. you can't just choose one "best" food and eat it all-day everyday. you need variety in your diet. plus red meat helps boost your testosterone levels.
Well... of course...
Perhaps what I should have asked is... which has a higher protein content.
-Er whatever way ya wanna word that.
Yeah, have a meal with eggs, another with the chicken, another with the beef, and another with tuna/salmon or any other kind of fish. Helps to keep from getting burned out on one thing.
I know I've just eaten chicken breasts for a while and then couldn't eat one for ages. Same with the fresh whole turkey meat from this mom & pop joint by my office. Love the fresh turkey but just can't stomach it again yet.
Both are fine. I really wouldn't worry about which has an extra gram of protein over the other. Eat both if you can afford it and fit them into your macros. Personally, I eat much more chicken as it's cheaper around here.
I can't tell you which one is better, but we all know which one is cheaper. Chicken can be cooked a thousand ways too and no matter how many times I eat it, I never get tired of it.
