How the f**k do you do it? I'm at my parents house visiting them for a week or so, only been here a few days and already I'm going insane. I went out last night and my mom is all "Where are you going? Who's gonna be there? When are you coming home?" like I'm 13 or something.
Not to mention while I'm on the computer she keeps asking what I'm looking at - I just mumble "news" or some shit, because I'm sure she doesn't want to hear the truth, that I'm trolling myspace looking for hot skanks in this area. :D

lol, I know what you're talking about. I moved back in with mine after living on my own for awhile(can't afford a decent apartment right now) and they are driving me insane! It's like mind your own business, I can take care of myself. Who cares if I'm e-flirting with someone? I lived on my own for two years, from 18 to now. This summer I had to move in with my parents again because my bf had to move too many times for me to easily stay with him, and I got this great job offer. Well it's driving me BATTY. If you've every read the Harry Potter Books...my parents are the Dursley's, and my little brother is their sh!thead son that they absolutely worship. They're not abusive of course, but they're so hands-off until they need something (a babysitter) and then I'm indebted to do any favors because they committed to the dubious 'task' of letting me move back in for the summer. I feel like I'm walking on eggshells all the time trying not to offend my stepmom. I can't fricking wait for school to start, and after this I'm not moving back in.
I lived away for 6 months while in the army.. Now I have been home for 6 months.. I really want to move out, but since I'm only going to school 2 days a week this year and my workplace is 5 minutes from my parents house I wont spend tons of cash to get my owne place for one year and see all my savings go down the drain..
+ I got a big room with a huge bed, my owne living room with a home theatre, my owne bathroom so I really cant complain... I also get along great with my parents and they dont bother me if I am going out and stuff..
But next year I have to get my owne place if Im getting into the college I want to or not
don't know how people can do it. I mean my parents are nice, but this is the last summer I plan to live at home, getting a house next to my university in a few weeks, and plan to work/live there from now on.
I live at home, probably will til im 25 or something.. we have a big house, no need to be working crazy hours and all that through grad school when I can just focus on school and live here. I could care less if someone things im not "hip" or "with it" because I live at home.
My parents don't ask me much, occasionally they will ask where I'm going and I'll say "out", end of story they ask no more. They know not to get in my way, I know not to get in their way... that's pretty much the way we work around here, what I do is my business, what they do is theirs.
I would need about 1500 a month to live decently (that's here in TX, where 1500 a month is a lot), I would have to work around 40 hours a week to do that, then go to school for three hours or so at night, then somehow come home and lift at who knows what hour.
Too bad to get good grades you need to study like two hours per every hour in class... where does THAT fit in? What about the masters thesis? I mean it would just be insane... id rather live at home then put myself through that.

But damn, my closest family member is 16 hours away by flight and I tell you, it's hard from time to time. Even if they nagg etc... I kind of miss it.
If i were to go home I'd personally just hang out with the family and when i'm college I'll do the college stuff. Each worlds to its own.

We're home at completely opposite times, and even when we are home together we smoke joints together or bitch about what needs to be rennovated next. It's really not that tough. Plus I got the whole basement to myself and my own office, I don't even wanna move out.
