Anyone have a 2000 Chevy Blazer (any year i guess)
I'm gonna sell my car and I'm leaning hard towards a 2000 chevy blazer. Any of you drive one, do you like it? Anybody had one and hated it?
I'm hoping to find one with 80k miles or less for like 4200-5200k hopefully.

Answer:

I drive a 98, pretty much the exact same thing. I love it. I got it back in 03 with 54k miles, now has 91k.

I had a '93 rodeo 4x4 and I loved it, but it broke down and the tow truck hit a tree and totalled so I get $3300 from the insurance and I have another grand in the bank so I guess my price range is like $4,000.
Mid-size SUV's are killer.

Mid-size SUV's are killer. I have more money in stocks then I have in my bank account...lol. I might take a small loan if I can get a good deal. I'm probably gonna buy the car before I sell the one I have, and then just use the money from the old car to pay off the loan asap
The car i have now is a 93 cadillac deville. Rust on the hood, oil leak, engine light comes on, seats are tore up, a/c is broken. So i'm probably not gonna get much for it. I was hoping like 2000, but my dad said more like 900....anyway, i hate that car ever since I got it but ya kno.....I'm just ready to get a new car and the blazer seems perfect.
Mid-size SUV's are perfect for me, plenty of room, good on gas. I feel like a cadillac deville is a senior citizen ride, it doesn't fit me...ive never felt comfortable with it.

Answer:

i'm hoping someone in my family helps to donate too. you know how life is ****ed up....my sister has a drug problem and has been arrested and gotten in trouble all her life. Both of my grandparents have bought her a car that she sold for drugs, my parents have bought her two or three cheap cars.....not to mention a ton of other money, thinking u know if they pay her she'll come back and do good and whatever.
I don't get in trouble, I do what i'm supposed to do, I don't get NONE of that. My grandparents haven't given me shit. They got me towels for christmas and a childs trashcan the year before (when i was 20!)
I'm not trying to be greedy but come on.....childs trash can for the good child and a jeep cherokee for the bad child. WTF, I feel so screwed sometimes

Go to the Automotive forums or s10forum.com and read look into the vehicles. I have done almost all the work on this truck myself, as they are very easy to work on.

I used to have a 98. My sister has it now. It is still running strong.
I don't know what kind of gas mileage you are excepting but I normally averaged 18-19 mpg.

WTF, I feel so screwed sometimes I wouldn't buy a used Chevy, or any GM for that matter--but that's just me. Even today, the only Blazer I consider is the high performace SS version. It usually takes GM the last year of production (Impala SS) to "get it right!"
As for how you're treated by your family? All I can say is you're not alone. I've got the 'druggie' sister too. When my father passed away he left me nothing. So typical of many black families. Like Chris Rock says, "they don't leave a will, they leave a bill!"

Answer:

I have an 01 jimmy 2dr 4wd and the only thing i can think offa my head is the rattling/vibrations in the summer

Answer:

I just got a 2000 chevy blazer LT and i love it. I hate websites where people review cars they never say anything good about them. And people that have to replace the same parts on a vehichle over and over need to rethink the way they drive. Such as the one post i read about the chevy blazer on one of those sites. Replacing brakes, hubs, and rotors every year. Another woman that cant drive with out flying down the road and slamming on the brakes at the last possible second. No sh1t its gonna break!
