Most baroque, especially pieces by Bach and Vivaldi, are my favorites. I've been drifting more into Classicism and Romanticism time period pieces lately.

Tchaikovsky - Russian Sailor's Dance SO much fun to play. I get excited hearing it not because of the music but thinking of playing it. I learned how to double and triple tongue working on that piece.
Tchaik 4 is awesome, too. Check that out asap.

Haha, same here. I also play trombone; I played this song back in the day with some band. f*cking a. I actually played tchaik on tuba, though. It was arranged for tuba and euphonium. Let's just say after 4-5 hours a day on trombone, my face didn't like jumping to tuba for 3 octave chromatic runs and shit. I miss playing in ensembles... :(
keep em coming guys.
I would also go with pianist Glenn Gould's classic 1955 recording of Bach's Goldberg Variations.
:d
any symphony by beethoven is awesome
I can't get enough of vivaldi's four seasons recently. The winter parts are ****ing awesome :)
I can't get enough of vivaldi's four seasons recently. The winter parts are ****ing awesome :) Very overrated concerti and probably one of my least favorite compositions out of the Baroque era.
Very overrated concerti and probably one of my least favorite compositions out of the Baroque era. cool
Very overrated concerti and probably one of my least favorite compositions out of the Baroque era. What?? Even if you hate everything else you gotta admit the dueling violins at the end of summer is cool :)
What?? Even if you hate everything else you gotta admit the dueling violins at the end of summer is cool :) Yes there are great parts to it, but overall, I don't think it's as great as many people make it out to be. There are plenty of other violin concerti which are far superior. Don't get me wrong, I don't think The Four Seasons is bad, it just wouldn't be anywhere near the top of my list of classical compositions.
