I've heard from MANY people that the Mario Sperry videos are VERY good. they are good, a little old fashion, but still good. i would recommend the newest bas rutten videos if you are looking for instructionals.
Bas videos are for self defense i think this teaches u for competition
bas rutten has one self defense video which is well known. he also has a series for mixed martial arts. its pretty good....not great. i think the most applicable videos for MMA are randy coutures, karo parisyans, and then any good BJJ video. I personally like marcelo garcias no gi, all the gracies' are good for a beginner, Saulo Ribeiro's are awesome.

Sweet, pirating copyrighted material and openly talking about it too!! your right im sure the Feds are monitoring this forum as we speak.
Anyone have any good BJJ/Nogi instructionals for competition? :D
Anyone have any good BJJ/Nogi instructionals for competition? :D All of the instructionals available from: Erik Paulson, Mark Hatmaker, Tony Cecchine, Mario Sperry (Vale Tudo series), and the first three series by Bas Ruten. These are all good comprehensive series.
I own all of these, and many many more, but these are the ones I would recommend for a start.
None of them are a substitute for live instruction with a good instructor, but you can learn a lot from them and speed up and improve your progress, and develop your personal repertoire/style.
Unfortunately, there is A LOT of stuff, much very effective and basic that anyone on the mats should learn, that is NOT in available video series. There is a lot of unpublished instruction.
If you are ever in the S. Cal/San Diego area, you are welcome to get in touch with me. I teach/train out of my house, and it doesn't cost anything to come over and learn some things with the group of guys it train. Just drop me an email if you want to know more about that.
Good luck with your training.

Sweet, pirating copyrighted material and openly talking about it too!! who said anything about pirating copyrighted material ? So piss off ?

Sweet, pirating copyrighted material and openly talking about it too!! get the **** out.
who said anything about pirating copyrighted material ? So piss off ? Hmmm, let's see do you own the distribution rights to these materials? And obtaining and sharing these from bittorrent is pirating regardless of what you want to believe. I honestly don't care if you want to do it or not but openly discussing it and on a public forum isn't wise.
The producer of these instructionals was the reason why the original mma tracker got shut down. He monitors various boards looking for people talking about his material. So you could very well have PMd him the link and he's now recording the IPs and will send a notice to your ISPs. He's done this in the past though I don't think anything ever came of it, no lawsuits that I'm aware of.
But do whatever you want.
ehhhhh..... i havnt pmed anyone at all
