I use to have a budget that was drawn up about six months in advance.that was when I knew how much I would get everyweek.it's a bit different now 'cause it depends on what I work.but I now draw up my budget when I get paid.I pay all my bills BEFORE I shop or buy anything else.and yep that includes giving Gemma money for baby sitting.if I cant afford it that week she has to wait til the next week.they girls know how hard it is sometimes and they are understanding here.

Manda can you set up a bill paying account?.where you put so much per week into it, but they will pay your bills for you whether the money is there or not.BUT you MUST make sure you put your minimum in every week.it's through one of those Queensland oriented branches (Queensland Country or something).might warrent looking into

Sorry to hear that Manda I hope you can work something out soon.the bill account that Teena suggested sounds like a good idea once you have chatted to the various companies though.
I noticed in one of your other posts that you were going for a smoke, maybe its time to think about quitting as thats money that could go towards your bills
Well, my husband and I have a pretty easy go of it, we don't have cars (so no car payment, no insurance, no car maintenance and no petrol - woohoo!), or credit cards or anything too terrible to pay. And we always ALWAYS pay the bills before they're due. We're both terminally irresponsible moneywise, but we've discovered that paying the bills on time is cheaper than not paying and having to pay the bill plus the late fees, etc. Our bills aren't that bad anyway, even though we live in different states at the moment, we still have plenty of money left over after the bills have been paid to fritter away on magazines and computer peripherals and video games the way we do.
We do have a $500 cash advance line at the bank that we could access as long as we pay it back within the month, but we haven't had to touch it in nearly a year, which is nice. For a couple years there we were having to budget down to the nickel sometimes, and it sucked.

I know that one I budget every fortnight account for every cent, what with swimming classes, dancing, Nippers (surf life saving), these are just a few of activities the kids do, so I need to budget. As I would probably buy them cloths toys then they wouldn't have the activities they have now.
Not that they miss out on anything as I have an envelope to cover the unexpected things that pop up like birthday parties (presents). It's nice to know that when something comes up I can pay for it not stress out about paying for it.
We Budget, because we have to. We get paid monthly, all bills and expenses are paid on pay day and I also do a huge grocery shop and stock up the pantry, whats left is what we live on till the next pay day. You learn quickly is it a want or a need, do we really need it or could the money be better spent ?
