Question:
My hubby went purchased a newer Dryer for me - as ours broke at christmas s he went to a secondhand dealer who fixers sells parts for all appliances, got it home supprised me, he put the bracket up on the wall fitted the dryer onto the wall (which it's not that light) Then the next day i went to dry 2 school shirts for the kids it stopped wouldn't start up again for another hour - it seemed to overheat. My hubby pulled it down again i had to take it back to where he got it from, then had to explain it to the guy he said i'll look at it ring you that was a week ago now i'm getting pretty
This company that hubby purchased it from has been in our area since i can remember i think around 24 years - so it's not as if their a bad business (well i'm hopeing not - maybe they've changed hands - that's all i need !!!)

Does anyone else have one of these dryers? if yes how does yours go does it over heat?

I think my old one was a Hoover, and it used to do that. Mind you I used to jam pack it full, and forget to empty the lint I doubt they are suppose to heat up tho.but it only did it sometimes.
What area are you in Mel? My FIL is a white goods mechanic, he fixes washing machines, dryers etc. He also repairs second hand items and sells them, but always with a 3mth warranty.
I would be pretty pissed off too, that you haven't heard from them in a week. I would call them back and ask what the hells going on. They should fix it asap or give you a refund.

My hubby is going down there tommorrow morning (first thing) - as he has a way when he confronts people (they listen to him more in person then on the phone - if you know what i mean - he's aggresive just big)
I live at Currans Hill South west of sydney do you know it? I'll keep you in mind if any of myother appliances decide to break.

have a dryer but dont use it prefer to put the clothes in the sunshine
i wish i could do that all the time but due to the sydney weather it seems like it only rains when i do washing. The weather is so unpredicitable over here.

He actually rang me today said I don't think there's anything wrong with it, i'll give you a copy of the manual i was thinking all day until hubby got home - 'He's had the bloody dryer all week that's the best he can come up with i bet you he never even looked at it' I'm sop cranky with this guy i may be a WOMAN but i'm defintely not one of those dizzy woman that don't know appliances, i know there's something wrong otherwise if it was the timer (the buttons on the front ) why wouldn't it work for an hour afterwards?
WEll hubbies picking it back up tommorrow if it happens again they can come out fix it. (well hubby will not be in the mood for them to mess him around)

Hi there! I am new to all this. I typed out a message b4 but it didnt post it, so I wont put much thought into this, in case of same. Am hoping to gas bag with you lot on here, Have had the same in regards to appliances and cars. Anyway will log on tomorrow to see if Ive had any luck.

got it back yesterday (as daughters birthday party on Saturday no time) he was speaking to me like i was stupid - but i think i shocked him when i came out with technical talk (i'm not stupid when it comes to things like this - far from it but people don't expect woman to be educated in things like this)
Got it home - they have used it as the filter was spotless when i took it down there now its got lint in it.
Works a treat now - i used it for the first time today - only to dry 1 shirt though, so when i do a load it better work.
I think he actually fixed it but didn't want to own up to it being his fault in the first place. As it was overheating cutting off, this i much i know.
