Question:
Has anyone seen 300 yet? My hubby and I went to see it last night with a friend. That is a really good movie! I couldn't believe how ripped all those guys were, they must've worked out a lot before making the movie!
Hasn't be released in Australia yet, mid April, we get it on our screens. (April 5, I just checked) and David Wenham is it. New York Times seems to think it is about as violent as “Apocalypto” and twice as stupid.
Wonder how it will go in Australia?
Lots of bows and arrows.
Prepare for glory!
In 480 BC, the Persian king Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) sends his massive army to conquer Greece. The Greek city of Sparta houses its finest warriors, and 300 of these soldiers are chosen to meet the Persians at Thermopylae, engaging the soldiers in a narrow canyon where they cannot take full advantage of their numbers. The battle is a suicide mission, meant to buy time for the rest of the Greek forces to prepare for the invasion. However, that doesn't stop the Spartans from throwing their hearts into the fray, determined to take as many Persians as possible with them.
Sounds like Troy, Lord of the Rings, Alexander.
The sword-and-sandals epic posted an estimated $70 million in ticket sales Friday through Sunday as it surged past hostile critics and industry expectations to become the fourth surprise hit in a winter season that began with a limp.
I haven't seen the movie (don't thin it's out here yet) But was reading an article just the other day about the training the guys did for the movie
I agree, they look amazing.

It is a neat story! Now I actually want to find out more about the real story. A friend of mine read the comic book that it was based on also and he said it's very good and the movie follows it pretty good. I did think it was kinda funny that they went to battle wearing a cape, sandals and chonies.
Yeah well it is 480BC, at least they had clothes on.
I adore anything that has anything to do with Frank Miller, so I was all over that movie lol. I loved it! I've seen it twice - once in the regular movie theatre, and one at one of the IMAX theatres here in town, and it was AMAZING on the IMAX.
I highly recommend it.
Mmm, those guys were pretty ripped.
What are Chonies?
So is it a must see because of the eye candy?
