Question:
I wanted to know how you ladies come across meeting your partners/husbands? If you like to share, please tell especially the cute or funny romantic parts.
One more thing, this song love is in the air is played/sang in every wedding I attended. What other song was most played/sang in weddings you attended?
I met my partner 8 years ago. He is a friend of my brother and while I knew a lot of my brothers friends, I hadn't met Daz before and actually met him at a nightclub through another of my brothers friends. We became friends and slowly it led to more yet we were both concerned my brother would disaprove so we kept our relationship very quiet for about a month before we told anyone. It was actually kind of fun sneaking about in the beginning though
As for wedding songs. Aerosmith's I don't wanna miss a thing and Ronan Keatings When you say nothing at all have been 2 of the most popular at weddings I have attended
This is an interesting tale.
He asked my best friend to go out and I talked her out of it and then turned around and asked her to ask him if he would go to a backwards dance with me, she did. He called me and just said yes before I could ask. That's all she wrote, we've seen each other every day since then. Been married for 34 years coming May.
The song would be You've Only Just Begun. We also had a song from the movie The Great Race I know that's what I said when my hubby mentioned it until I heard it, it's called The Sweetheart Tree.
Well, I met my dh in a student club on a cold October night (setting the mood there). I didn't want to go out that night but it was one of my friend's cousin friend (keeping up still?) birthday so I went out. David was there in the empty club and my friends started talking to him but had trouble with their english and they asked my help and voila ! That was on the 25th of October 1993 . (violins please
As for music well I think the way you look tonight is the one I have heard the most.
I actually met my partner via msn messenger. Funny thing was at first i hardly ever spoke to him on it. I was going through some serious issues with depression. Anyway i just started talking to him about it one day. NOw most guys would nick off as soon as you start talking about depressing issues but he didnt. We talked for ages. THen we talked on the phone for ages that same day and then that same day again he came over. He was soo cute. He didnt kiss me even though he wanted to. He respected me. I ended up kissing him. And basically been together ever since.
about a month after we got together we wanted to move in together. My parents didnt want us moveing out so they let him mve in with us.
Then about 2 months after that i fell pregnet. 4 months after my first son was born we moved out. We have hardly spent a night apart.

I was going out with one of my brothers rugby mates which my brother didn't approve of, so trying to get me away from his mates he asked if I would like to go out to this farm with him and his wife for the weekend, I was all dressed up had one of those Farrah Fawset Majors Hair do's (the fashion back then) make-up on earrings jewellery the lot, we ended up going to the wool shed first instead of the house, it was tailing time and we all got roped into helping for the day, certainly did,t look like Farrah Fawset Majors after that, but it was a heap of fun and the farmer looked so spunky tanned , ruggered, straight from the bush, after a good weekend, I left my make up there (no not on purpose) and He bought it to my house in the City for me, and It just went from there,To be honest I never remember songs at weddings
I met my other half on Good Friday in 2002.we had been chatting on ICQ for a while, nothing romantic, just how you doing kind of chat. I told him he seemed like a nice guy and would he like to have coffee/dinner with me sometime. He said sure and so since I was off Good Friday, I said maybe dinner with a movie? Sure, no problem except there are no restaurants in Mt Gravatt open except MacDonalds.didn't really think the timing through very well did I? So we went and had our dinner at McD's and saw the movie, Anger Management. We had such a great time we decided to go out a few more times but it didn't really turn into a romantic relationship for a few dates after the first. He's a shy boy, I'm a shy girl so it took a while for us to tell each other how we felt about things. We still have a good laugh about our first date at McDs.
As far as songs at weddings go, well.I don't usually remember them because they have been different at each one I think. There was one I'll take care of you, have no idea who sang it but it sounded like a Boys II Men type group. There was the Shania Twain one that got done to death when my cousins got married but that was a good ten years ago. One I thought was really unusual was the Bright Side of the Road by Van Morrison, mainly because it is fairly up beat and most wedding songs are slow and sappy.
In an internet chat room.I won't go into the story again as I am sure I have bored the other ladies senseless with it already
Was in a new job in a new country town and one of the women I worked with rang me and said it was a shame for a young girl to be sitting at home alone on a Friday night when so many single young men were down the pub. She then informed me that her son was at one of those pubs waiting for me so I'd better get down there! I really didn't want to go but I couldn't leave him sitting there all alone. so I went. He was there with about 20 of his mates! One of which is my hubby now
when i was in grade 10 at high school i used to eye off this guy who use to sit oppiset my group at lunch. he was in grade 11 and i didnt know his name but i use to say to my mates that one day i would marrie him. well the next year i moved away for 12 months and wrote the guy off. so i was totally amazed when upon returning for year 12 my math teacher made me sit next to the most amazing guy.yep he was repeating grade 12 and i was right after being together for 9 years we finerly got married two years ago and now have our beautiful little girl to.
