Guess what?
Question:

I was driving to pick my little brother up from his Uni. I witnessed a car from behind me trying to overtake me. He changed to the left lane, increased his speed, then try to manoervre back into my lane to get in front of me. He(she) was doing about 80km on a 60km road (sorry, don't know the miles conversion). When he(she) was in front of me he (she) couldn't control his speed and spun out of control, spinning over the other side of the road where oncoming cars are, and hit a metal fence. Furthermore, the car rebounded off the fence, spins back into my lane again and this time, with his (her) car all seriously damaged, drove away slowly. That driver was so lucky that he (she) didn't crash and hurt others. After telling my Dad this, he said I should of taken down the registration plate and report to the police as he thinks the car could be stolen. But I was so mesmerised by the whole accident, I had forgotten about it.

Answer:

how lucky are you not to be hurt . i thought at first he /she may have been going to sleep at the wheel

Answer:

Some people are always in a hurry, for why. Glad you weren't hurt.

Answer:

I'm glad that no one was hurt! There sure are some crazy people out there on the roads.

Answer:

Oh my goodness. I wonder if alcohol or drugs was impairing them? Yea, you definitly should have taken down a plate number and turned it in. But I know what you mean about forgetting it. I was in a situation somewhat similar before and all I can think about was what was going on at the moment not about turning them in.

Answer:

I know how scary that is. I was on the freeway once and I noticed a car swerving from side to side and tried to stay way behind him. After awhile he swerved in front of me and over to the side and ran into a wall and bounced off, which made him turn completely around facing traffic, thank God he stopped. I pulled over a little ways up and got out to see if he was OK and the windshield was cracked and there was blood all over it. I could see him sitting there bent over, looked unconscious. I was afraid to get any closer because I felt like I was going to faint (that's all I needed). A man's head poked over the wall and I yelled for him to call 911, (that's an emergency number here) and he did. By this time a couple more cars pulled over and a couple of guys came over to help (I wasn't much help) as I just stood there in shock. After about 5 minutes (seemed like hours) the police came, thank God. I left and proceeded to get off the freeway at the next off ramp.
After that happened I didn't drive the freeway for a very long time. It just stuck with me and still now (9 years) I can see this whole scene as clear as if it just happened.
Thank God that you're alright. Don't worry about if you got the license plate number or not, when stuff like this happens getting the number is the last thing on your mind. Staying alive is the first.

Answer:

How scary!! I am sure that must have been very scary for you. I am glad you are safe. I can't understand forgetting to take down the license plate. You just almost witnessed something horrible!

Answer:

Wow thats crazy. I wonder if alcohol or drugs were involved? I definitly would have gotten the plate number though. But I also understand forgetting based on the situation too. Man, glad they didn't hurt anyone.
Wow Buddy that's crazy!!! I have always wondered how I would react if I saw that. The thing for me is that I am CPR certified and by law if you are CPR certified and you see an accident you have to stop to render aid or you can get your license taken away.

Answer:

yeah, i'm also CPR certified. we have to because of my school. of course i wanted to do it anyway. i can't take broken legs and stuff and heads cut off, even though my fiancee has witnessed it while he was on the volunteer fire department in town. but i can take some blood. my heart drops when i see it in the hospital and then i try to just breathe and be calm. once i thought i was going to faint. it was pretty scary! what a good nurse i will be! luckily, i've never been in an experience like that and even in one where i would have to do CPR. i would have been so scared if that happened to me! was it on the news or paper or anything?! i'd like to know what happened! thank god you're alright and no one was hurt.

Answer:

off topic - Kiki, how can you become a nurse if you don't like blood? How will you do the job?
Back to topic - so glad you're ok!! Always so frightening when that happens - I've started wondering lately if I'm invisible. Seems to be so many people pulling out without looking and nearly causing accidents. BTW - I drive an enormous red 4WD
