Question:
i was just thinking about this and figured i'd write it in a post.only because i'm bored and trying to waste time! along with procrastinating on my studies!
what is something that you always wanted to do and still haven't?! i NEVER have watched the fireworks on the beach before and would LOVE to. i know it's such a small thing, but i never got the opportunity to i guess. i also would LOVE to swim with dolphins and travel all around the world. perhaps go to germany during octoberfest! haha.
every summer my family and i went on a vacation, unlike my fiancee who has never been on one. i would LOVE to experience a vacation with him.his first one ever! even though that won't happen this summer. i've been to many places.i've been to croatia and czechoslovakia, which are my nationalities. they are such beautiful countries and now after so many years, croatia is finally in the spotlight with tourists and such. it's as if you're in the caribbean! we drove from czechoslovakia to croatia, through austria. it was amazing in austria also. all mountains and driving through them. i've been up and down the east coast of the US. not far up past connecticut, maine, etc. i've been to canada, my uncle lives there. and i've also been to the caribbean islands.haiti, jamaica, bahamas, etc. where have all of you vacationed and which was your favorite?!
my favorite was the cruise and stopping at different islands. i met so many people that i still keep in contact with. we became such great friends and the cruise lasted 9 days. we would all sit on the white sand, drink, and tan. it was great! it was nothing but partying and site seeing. i also went horse back riding in jamaica, which was a great experience! everyday me and my friends would do the same thing.wake up early, eat breakfast with our families, go to the gym, hit the pools, tan all day, then shower and get ready for dinner, after dinner we'd meet at the club, dance, drink, hit the hot tubs, eat pizza, etc. i wouldn't get back in the room until the early hours in the morning and luckily my mom didn't mind-that's because i payed for the whole thing myself!
my second favorite had to be the first time i went to croatia, to see my grandmother's house. (she moved to the US when she was 19, worked, and eventually rebuilt a house there on the same property she was brought up as a child). it was amazing! she lives on a farm and i'm a animal freak, so i learned how to milk cows and was very eager to learn about their ways. i was even able to see my grandmother's vineyard and visited so many relatives and family members that i never even knew existed! i only have 5 members of my family living in the US. then theres my uncle, aunt, cousins in canada and everyone else is there. i always thought i had a small family and it was great to learn more about my heritage and meet such warm hearted people.
Tasmania, Melbourne and environs, Perth and the SW corner of WA and up to Monkey Mia, Gold Coast innumerable times, lots of holidays in Maryborough Qld when I was a child, Snowey mountains a couple of times in various seasons.
I've holidayed in Noumea, the Philippines and Hong Kong, Tahiti, Hawaii and Singapore as an adult.
My favourite would have to be Hawaii.would love to go back and see some more.only stayed on Oahu and The Big Island.
well it's good to know that you loved hawaii and enjoyed it! my fiancee wants to go there.that's one of the many places he'd like to go to and maybe we'd vacation there for our honeymoon.
every summer my family and i went on a vacation, unlike my fiancee who has never been on one. i would LOVE to experience a vacation with him.his first one ever!
Wow.now I feel really guilty. I'm always complaining that I don't get to go on vacation enough and I usually go every six months, sometimes more.
i don't understand.why do you feel guilty?!
I love hot air balloons and have been going to the Canowindra and Canberra festivals for a good few years but have never been up in
So my thing is to go in a hot air balloon
oh wow! that must be tons of fun! i would love to do something like that, but i'm a bit scared of heights.even though i've been on planes, roller coasters, etc. ha.
i don't understand.why do you feel guilty?!
Miss Kiki, Stormy Weather feels guilty because she complains she doesn't go on enough vacation when she is taking one every 6 months or so, and you don't get to go as often as she does. Well, that's what I think, anyway.
haha. i haven't been on a vacation for 2 1/2 years now. i really don't want to consider going to europe, croatia to be exact, for my brother's wedding this past october as a vacation. i was there for 10 days and didn't do anything, except help around with the wedding plans and such. i'm definitely due for a vacation! and my fiancee has never been on a real one, so hopefully we can do something next summer and maybe go on a weekend trip this summer. nothing too big.
I have been to England and Wales, France, Spain. Canaries, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Holland, Hungary, Egypt, Morocco, Minnesota and Wisconsin (USA), Vietnam, Thailand, Taipei and Australia (just Brisbane and Sydney- will be back this time next year ).
Next trip is to Sharm al Sheik in Egypt this summer as its great for scuba diving and snorkling which I LOVE!
I have never been to NZ or Canada which I really want to visit also Peru, Boston, Tasmania and loads of other places.
Nor have i ever been Swimming with dolphins or sky diving which are high on my ever increasing to do list as is getting a tattoo.
