Question:
what is everyone's view of tattoos?!
how many do you have?! (where)
and what significance does it have to you?!
would you ever get a tattoo of someone's name?! why or why not?!
i was just curious!
i got my tattoo done when i was 17. my sister, which is a year older, got hers done a few days after her 18th birthday and since then i wanted one secretly.and so did my mom. it was february and i took a nap after school and my mom woke me up, saying that she wanted to go look at tattoos. i told her if she got one, then i'm getting one. lol, that was more like a demand. she saw one she liked, and of course it was the one that i wanted.but i chose a different one instead. we had to go back home to get my picture ID's and also my birth certificate to prove that she was my mother.my mom decided not to go back. so i went to the car and kept beeping until she came outside. i told her i'd drive back, i was taking her hostage, haha. she wanted me to get mine done first, that way in case it hurts she'd back out. it didn't hurt me as bad as i thought it was. the feeling was more annoying than painful for me. so then she got hers done at the same time and her facial expressions were absolutely hilarious. she had the OW look in her face! we both got designs on our lower back, which is pretty popular.even though a stupid design isn't significant to me, the thing that is is the fact that me and my mom got them done together. and of course i was stuck paying for my own. i definitely want to get one on the back of my neck of the croatian symbol.my nationality. but that won't be any time soon. my sister and mom both have two already.i would definitely get a tattoo that has to do something with john, my fiancee, after we get married. but he rather not, since he had a tattoo of his wedding date and had to get it covered up-he feels as if it's a jinx. i still might, who knows. all his tattoos are of his kids. i rather have him do something that represents himself as well. and that doesn't include me!
ok.everyone's turn now.hehe.
I don't have any tatoos and will probably never get one. I just don't think that I would like to see anything on my body for the next 60 years!
I love tattoos! When I was 16 I went in with a friend to get one. The guy didn't ask how old we were so I got the Metallica star put on the back of my right shoulder. Right after I got that I immediately wanted another one. They're so addictive! Then on my 18th birthday my husband (boyfriend at the time) took me to get another one. I got Jokey smurf on the back of my left shoulder. Then a couple years later I got a black and blue phoenix in the center on my back pretty high up. I think that one hurt the worst cuz it was right on my spine.
For me the outlining is the most painful part. When the guy was coloring in my smurf I almost fell asleep. I'm really hoping to get another one soon.
My husband has been getting his worked on for over a year. His left arm is pretty much sleeved from his shoulder to his elbow. I wish it was more acceptable for women to get tattoos on their arms like that too
I don't think I'd get his name as a tattoo though. Even though I know that we're never going to split up or anything it would just make me a little paranoid The tattoo place I go to now won't even tattoo people's names unless they're kids or something like that. They won't do spouses or boyfriends or girlfriends names.
Good Morning,
Well I am another tattoo addict. I currently have 5 tats and wanting more. Got my first a dragon on my stomach 11 years ago, 2nd was a tribal gecko on my but the next year, followed by celtic dragons on thigh 8 years ago, scarab was for my 30th 3 years ago and then soon after it was a fairy for my daughter on my hip. You can't see most of mine as they are for me and do symbolise times, events and people. I don't really want them to sag with old age but have seen the stomach dragon grow really huge when pregnant, luckily it never changed shape. I think if you want it get it but do it for yourself and make sure it means something to you and that you want it for the rest of your life.

I have a tattoo!! I have a very small one, about an inch on the top of my right foot. Its a small quarter music note with 3 little stars surrounding it. I'm not on my computer right now but maybe I will post one of it later :-D
Personally, I never thought I would ever ever get a tattoo and peer pressure kind of convinced me with this one (even though I was 20 years old and completely capable of fighting off the pressure). 2 of my friends in highschool got the same one as me as a memory from some things we did in highschool. So my view is I don't see a problem with them as long as they are in a place that can be covered up in a professional setting and not exposed as well as I don't like them all over your body either.
I personally am not a huge fan of tattoos and would never get one as i am also not a huge fan of pain. I think in order not to regret getting them later in life they would have to represent something of personal significance. But each to their own.
Guess What?! My husband is a tattoo artist,,,so yes, I Love his art in my skin. We were married 5 years before I had his name put on me. (made that mistake with an old boyfriend.needless to say I had to choose a bigger picture over it)
Every tattoo I have (quite a few) was carefully chosen and represents something or someone in my life.
I have 2 tattoos desperately want more, I do have my next one picked out. Hubby has 2. My Dad is covered in them, they start on his forehead. Mum has 3 i think my sister has about 5
When I left my first marriage, I wanted to do something drastic, so I got an angel tattoo on my lower back. I do love it, but I dont think Id get another one.
I have 1! On my back, below my right shoulder blade is a tattoo of a heart, a scroll through it and 'Jalise' in the scroll, it's quite big and really pretty. It hurt so much i was almost crying, I know I need to get Kaitlyn and Shanti (got Jalise before K and S were born) but I'm too scared! I will do it someday!
