Near death experiences
Question:

Sorry if this offends anyone?
I am just wondering, do you think thats are waiting to take them?
My Great Grandfather was so happy when he died, he just said, 'It's time' with a smile. I have wondered ever since if he saw someone/something that was comforting to him.
It is so baffling?

Answer:

I believe there is someone waiting for us from personal experiences I had a resident pass away in front of me I knew she was going to pass away and I had been nursing for 5 years and had never experienced anyone pass over while I was on the job. but just before this lady passed over a big smile came to her face and then she passed it was nice to see someone pass like that not in pain and just like she fell asleep. I believe someone came to meet her

Answer:

Could be.

Answer:

Who knows maybe there is someone waiting for us when we go, I only hope I go before my first hubby as I sure as hell would love to be waiting on him when he tries to cross the pearly gates

Answer:

Hmmmm.never ponder over that question before. I only saw my great grandma and my grandpa passed away, slowly. They never did leave behind a smile. So I guess there are no such thing unless the dying person was a happy optimistic person, wanting others to remember him/her leaving this world happily. Sorry, I am a bit sceptical about this whole supernatural thing. But oddly though, I wanted to believe in reincarnation where in each incarnation we become someone else and forgets who we were in the previous lives. That would be totally awesome. Sorry, I am drifting to another topic.

Answer:

Oh I definitely think someone is waiting for us when we die. I think we have a set time and when we go we just walk into the arms of someone that loves us.

Answer:

di nana-you got me laughing on that one! haha. i'm sure my fiancee feels the same with his ex-wife!
i think there would be someone waiting for us. considering that many people become spirits, ghosts, angels.not sure what the true definitions are of those words, but they're different in some kind of way.
but then again reincarnation would be pretty neat. but it wouldn't do us any good because we won't remember or know that we are reincarnated.
i would like to think that we won't know what's going on. just like when we grow in our mommy's tummies. that way we won't be stuck in that supernatural world and bother the living!

how long have you been a nurse for? i'm actually going to school for nursing right now. it's pretty hard and competitive. i graduate in january.but i'm a bit scared with someone passing away when i'm at work.right in front of my eyes. i have never seen anyone die before. except my grandfather, slowly, when he had cancer. but i wasn't there the minute he passed. how did you get over it?! plus, i'm such a people person. i know i'd end up getting attached to patients and then it would be super hard for me to let them go.

I am an assistant in nursing/personal carer I have been in this field for the last 8 years I get very attached to people too that was one of my fears but I have managed ok I look at it this way I make there life as comfortable, enjoyable, maintain their dignity etc as much as humanely possible, and have never wanted anyone to die alone so I have sat with residents who didnt have family there so they didnt pass over alone I never though I would be able to handle losing someone. The case I found the hardest was losing a lady to cancer and she was only 50 ,I was a mess for a little bit you will be ok
