Question:
Please Help me work out a new routine, now I am gonna be working Full Time!! How???
hiya guys, in need of sum good advice. i currently do a 5 times a week split, apart from back and bis on same day...
Session 1 - Chest
Session 2 - Legs
Session 3 - Shoulders
Session 4 - Triceps and Cardio
Session 5 - Biceps and Back
Now I am going to be starting a new full time job, i wont be able to go as many days especially in the week!
Im planning on going every saturday and sunday then maybe twice a week??
So i need to cut my sesh down into 3 or 4 sessions a week, but I really dont wanna lose my size or strength as i have worked hard.
What do u guys recommend for the split and maybe some exercises i could do/leave out?? thanks alot in advance.
you cant go after work? Many, many people who hold full time jobs are still able to keep a 5 day split.
Sat
Sun
Tues
Thurs
Should be ok i suppose.
alot of people do 3/4 sessions a week tho?
not many train 5 or more? What do you suggest?
if you train 3 days a week you better to be ready to absolutly kill yourself on those 3 days... (which may be difficult if two of them are back to back). I would say at least give what you have (the 5 day split) a try before you give up on it, and if you just cant fit it in then go to a tues, thurs, sat, sun split. Or a tues, thurs, sat.

Yup, when you split everything into one day you can lower your intensity a bit and still get away with it... spending 45 mins to an hour on one body part is a lot. Last night I got a shitty back workout, but today it's still sore as shit. Anyhow...
I'd do:
Chest, Back, Legs/shoulders, Arms
That way your arms get their own day, along with chest and back having their own day as well.
how many exercises in each session tho?
at the mo i do 5-6 exercises each sesh, 3 sets each.
if i were to do shoulders and legs, i do 5 shoulder exercises so that session might end up being slightly full...
How about...
Sesh 1 - Chest and biceps
Sesh 2 - Shoulders and abs
Sesh 3 - Triceps and legs
Sesh 4 - Back and cardio
save time, do 3 full bodys a week, youll gain and have free time
Session 1 - Chest/Cardio
Session 2 - Legs
Session 3 - Shoulders/Triceps
Session 4 - Biceps/Back
Try fit it in your schedule add me as your friend tell me what machines, free weights and whatever you have and i can give you a good schedule that will be effective.
^THAT sounds good mate. thanks. i like the split.
Im gonna be doing a combination of 12/10/8 with progressing weight, and generally 8-10 reps also.
3 sets on each.
i will post my exercises later on.... iv had great results, but need to possibly cut from 5 to 4 sessions.
This is what I do...
Saturday: Back
Sunday: Chest/Shoulders
Monday: Off
Tuesday: Legs/Abs
Wednesday: Bi's/Tri's
Thursday: Off
Friday: Off
It's 4 days. If you want to do 3 days then get rid of bi/tri day and just do it with back and chest.
my shoulder sesh is a beast so prob gonna leave that on its own, maybe with abs or cardio....
I suggest waking up an hour and a half earlier. Have a little bite to eat, go to the gym. Get a nice workout, take a shower, go to work from there.
You could either do a 3 or 4 day split:
3 DAY SPLIT
Mon - Chest/Tri
Wed - Back/Bi
Fri - Legs/Shoulders
or a 4 DAY SPLIT
Mon - Chest/Tri
Tues - Back
Thurs - Shoulder/Bicep
Fri - Legs
I'm currently doing the 4 day split and it's great!
^REPPED. very interesting, shoulders and biceps might just work!
if i were you i would try and do 4 times a week so you wont be tired as hell when working dude.
^ yeh espeically to begin. My legs are absolutely ****ed today from yesterday and will be for 2-3 more days. To the point i walk really funny down the stairs and its hard to sit down, lol.
I dont really mind that my chest is aching like **** from two days ago coz i can deal with that, but i dnt want my legs hurting like this when i start cz it stops me being mobile.
3 DAY SPLIT
Mon - Chest/Tri
Wed - Back/Bi
Fri - Legs/Shoulders x2

I work 8-10 hour shifts + 2 hours driving. And still work out 4-5 days a week. Just go from work to the gym. Quit making excuses and lift end of story

i will see how things shape out, the journey from my work to the gym is busiest route in my city. So i will do what i feel balances work and the gym.
