YMCA Really good one 20 bucks a month
so toiday after school i checked out the YMCA in 63rd street and wow best gym i stepped into
The first thing i saw when i walked into the weight room was this big guys ATG squatting 315 so i was like cool never seen someone atg 315 before in real life
Locker room is real clean
has a stretching room with light dbs and stuff for yoga ...
A room for "strength training" all machines and a latpulldown some other stuff
The weight room has a power Rack, a Squat Rack, Massive ammounts of pullup places, BB's, Benches, plates, dumbells go up to 120lbs :) not that i can use 80's yet but still good to see them there laughing at me... lol
they allow me to do every exercises i can think of
i'm signing up this week or the next bally's cost to much for me
and the people there are seem nice but then again i was there at 3:30 pm and only 3 people where lifting weights...
can't wait to start working out there
Sounds good to me. It doesn't matter where you workout, just as long as its cheap and it has the right equipment to get the job done.
i workout at the y too its pretty cheap
3 people at 3:30... there would be like 60 people at LA fitness by then :( some YMCA sucks though.
i go to the y its awesome and my whole family goes for just 40 bucks a month sick deal
i meant 4 people and one out of 4 was doing bicep curls kinda funnny if you think about it what are the odds that you walk into a gym with 4 peoples

other doing BB curls
And why can't there be gyms like this in London :@
honestly, LA fitness is soo bad where i live. theres at least 5 ppl waiting to use each machine. its jammed packed and you cant even get a good workout. the Y sounds good though.
Sounds nice. My YMCA doesnt have a power rack- there's just a squat rack without protection. That's probably the major downfall at my gym.

My YMCA is perfect, a squat rack, smith machine, 2 incline benches, 2 flat benches, 2 full cable machines with lat pulldown on one of them, a crap load of machines, dumbells going up to 100lbs, about 7 treadmills, 4 elliptical trainers, 4 bikes, a spinning class, one stairmaster, locker room with full size lockers, steam room, sauna, showers, basketball court, 2 racket ball courts. That's about all of it lol at my YMCA. Oh and theres a huge indoor pool.
By the way, I just bought another 1 YEAR membership today and it cost $138. Talk about a deal and a half.

i pay 40 a month at my gym has a pool and sauna and everything weight related
I think 40 a month is too much. After doing the math I pay $11.50 a month. That's basically 25% of what you pay.

yea i go to the y too but mine is so phocking ghetto. but a rocky 3 type gym if you get what im saying.
I go to a Y also and I must say,.... it sucks balls. Barley any weight equipment, I'm stuck doing squats on a smith machine...
