education of a bodybuilder is an auto biography with some training tips. very interesting read, but how much of what arnold says you do you belive........
and the other one is a bodybuilders hand book (i say hand book, but in fact the thing weighs a tonne!! lol) it gives training tips, competition tips, life tips, business tips. again another good read if you have the time.

The first half of education was very inspirational to me. When I was a freshmen in college i used to read parts of it everyday for motivation. Everyone should read that book imo.

encyclo
the encyclopedia is a all you could ever need guide to training. everything is in it and there are lots of signs of how he thinks in section.
the broken is broken down into nutrition, body types, full list of all body parts and how to train them plus fixing weak points. everything is covered and the pictures are amazing in each section.
arnold in a numero uno author..
Education is better for begginers and to motivate/inspire you about "training" in general where as the encyclopedia is better for people who are more advanced and want a complete source of information.
Personally I gained alot more from education, its what really inspired me to train as the bio portion of the book is remarkable. If it wasnt for that book I prolly wouldnt be where I am today. I use the encylopedia here and there and it is great, but alot of the stuff in it you can learn from this site or even on your own where as the education book is unique and something you wont find any old place.
I just read "education of a bodybuilder" in 3 days. Awesome book, couldn't put it down. I am going to get the encyclopedia next. He is so inspirational

Make sure you do a few warm-up sets before you pick that bad boy up...... Hehe yea, education has a good section in the back for beginners but the autobiography part is a very good read.

Education, Encyclopedia....and the revised edition of Encyclopedia. :D Also gave my father "Arnolds Bodyshaping for Men".
Check the part where he says how many sets as a go to...if it is 5, it is the old edition, if it is 4, it is the new.
Books are must haves IMO, for anyone serious about body-building.
Encyclopedia has such good bodypart info, you simply need it.
Some shit I have that is golden....Old "Muscle Builder" magazines with Q & As with Arnold
Encyclopedia is great just for the pictures and tips on proper exercise form.
However, most beginners would overtrain following Arnold's 6-day routines. I think they're precontest routines, also assuming your juiced.
Well worth it to have the book though. You feel like you're at Gold Gym training with all the champions.
i have both and they are great!!!
