Question:
I can't get my biceps to pump
This is what I normal do on a biceps day. @ Home
-stretch every part of my body
-Run for 5-10min on my treadmill
-do quick 40 pushups
Then I start with my barbell & dumbell curls, preachers & incline curls.
The problem is m my biceps don't really get pumped.
What should I do?
do it really intense, like go slow coming up and slow going back down.. dont jerk or anything. maybe thats the difference maker
grab 2 dumbells or a barbell and go down as if a regular curl but only go up half way and go back down do that 7 times and then do full curls make sure you go all the way down and u are pulling up with your biceps and not your Back Chest Arms etc.
Stop swinging your back and moving your shoulders.
No, I do my curls with proper form. I also do them slowly too.
try doing pull ups if you can
You need to look at your diet first, form second, and water/supplement intake third.
Why the hell are you doing pushups before you work biceps?
Stretch for 10-15 mins, then do a warm up set of about 45-50% of the max you normally do for reps.
Hit it 12-15 times, stretch again, and then pyramid up.
If you don't get a pump from that, then your using horrible form.
I try to stand with my feet shoulder width apart, very slight bend at the knees, with my lifting belt on to stop any bend in my back, and I move only my arms. If my back bends, or any other part that shouldnt, I stop, and do it over.
maybe your bodyfat is too high so you can't tell the difference?
do hammer curls, those always pump mine up
you might be like me and anything with EZ bar doesnt work for my biceps, Try
Barbell curls
incline curls
hammer curls
That might be better for you, also dont consume too much caffine and be well hydrated.
The only time I ever get a "pump" in my biceps is by sort of twisting my hands when doing db curls, and by that I mean twist them so your pinky finger is higher than your thumb. Your triceps/elbows will be snug against your body and you will be brining the weight up more to the side of your shoulder, not the front.
According to my ex-gf, this movement uses less forearm muscles and more biceps when compared to traditional curls.

Try doing some hammer curls and superseting with a overhead dumbell tri extension, when I do that it increases the pump in my whole arm
throw in some widegrip curls. they really help to pump your biceps and show the split in them
Do negatives, with the help of your unused hand, slightly help the hand with the dumbell to lift all the way up, then let go and try to hold the dumbell until it slowly reaches the bottom.
Swole ass teen cough cough* >.<
try doing BB Rows and chin ups

edit- you have a whole day devoted to biceps..... you want teh guns heh?

...why do these threads even exist? Who the hell does nothing but bicep work and push ups? the op
i don't see how someone can go to a gym or garage or where ever you lift pumped up like yea man today i'm doing curls
if i'm not doing atleast one heavy compound at the gym i just don't have any will to go
try doing pull ups if you can x2 except pullups hit the back.... do chinups... experiment with different grips...
if you've been doing this routine for a while, your body has most likely adapted, change it up and try somethin new
Stop Devoting A Whole Day For Bicepts Teh Guns Don't Need That Much Work
do you have a abs day too...
I have two isolation bicep exercises in my entire workout week, alternate dumbbell curls and hammer curls, sometimes preacher curls, I get enough pump from them.

do you have a abs day too... Upper ab day and lower ab day.
It's probably your diet. If not that then your form must be awful because mine get pumped after a warm up set. I get good pumps but my biceps don't grow anyway.

Supinate and SQUEEZE at all the way through and especially at the top.
