Anyone ever notice Arnold's form?
He cheated all the time, isn't there a reason he had for this or something. He gained even more size with cheat barbell curls than normal....
its arnold man, whatever he did worked for his biceps. Ive never seen him cheating for anything except biceps though. It worked for him. His main idea was to overload the biceps at the hardest part of the lift, elbows 90 degrees, and cheat a bit to get the weight up forcing the rep to be completed using very heavy weight, and giving more intensity to the biceps.
The only people who use perfect form all the time usually have small arms. Look at how all the pros workout.

He still recomends that beginners and intermediates use perfect form as often as possible for best results, and ONLY to cheat on your last sets and last reps to tax the muscle further, NOT to make the movement easier.

Ya man, i have both of arnold's books. and they both advicate the cheaters techinque. Basicly you right youare using your back muscles when doing a bi-curl, but you are still lifting with the absolute max with your biceps.

Steriods don't do all the work. You still have to have good form and diet to build muscle. Thats the way life works.

Arnold normally only cheated on the last few reps of his final set, it wasn't though he was cheating for every set. He said that, there is a weak part to every exercise, and for the barbell curl it is the part where you're arms are hanging down at your sides. So, he would only cheat to get the bar up past that weak point.
Steriods don't do all the work. You still have to have good form and diet to build muscle. Thats the way life works. I would have to disagree with that, you just lift as heavy as possible, and form is sacrificed for weight. Anyway we shouldn't be talkig about steroids in this section.

the reason alot of pro's advocate using perfect form all the time is so you don't end up hurting yourself, which is easy to do when you first start and try to lift something over your limit...
so they aren't really advocating the perfect form, they are advocating lifting safety

You dont clean a weight by using strict form so to speakm its a fast explosive movement that activate a ****load more muscle fibres.
You can cheat correctly, Id rather handle alot more weight safely then any strict stuff.
