What's for lunch
I need some ideas for daytime meals, getting really bored with the same old thing. What are you having for lunch today?
I just ate 3 oz low sodium turkey with (a homemade, vinigar based) cole slaw and dijon mustard on a la tortilla low carb/high fiber wrap and an apple.
I also like chicken or tuna salad made with hummas (pick a flavor) instead of mayo or a little low fat mayo with currey powder...
in 3 hours I will eat a couple eggs and a piece of toast (gotta love the home office!) but I have to admit I don't mind eating the same (or similar) things all the time...keeps me on track!
if I am eating out - I like chili's guiltless salmon grill without the parm cheese on the broccolli though, they always put too much!

whey protien shake with msm,mhp time release l glutamine and a handfull of pills.
Today for lunch i had 4oz chicken breast cooked out on the grill. baked potato w/sourcream a whole garden tomato sliced a large glass of milk and 2 tblspoons of natty pb
I had string beans and chicken cordon bleu. And two chocolate chip cookies, homemade. Damn they were delicious.
And my breakfast was a diet pepsi with a jelly sandwhich. lol
I tell you what, this maybe the hardest challenge. When I first started out I didnt know nutrition at all, it takes time to learn how to eat right. Heck, it seems like I learn something about nutrition every other day.

Today for 11sies I had no bean chili over brown rice (I grew onions, tomatoes, jalepenos and habaneros this year).
2pm was 3 cans of tuna w/ celery and wheat thins.
5pm is gonna be homemade chicken pot pie.
The lunch bag has...
I carry a hiking lunch bag. It holds almost 3000 cals of foood to choose from.
1 cup shrimp, with cocktail sauce
1 piece of tilapia, rolled in parmesanand spices and baked.
1 cup diced chicken breast, broiled and topped with ketchup
1 cup frosted miniwheats
jelly sandwich made with ezekial bread
1 roast beef sandwich made with whole wheat bread (1 slice provolone)
3 boiled eggs, I only eat the whites
1 cucumber
8 canned asparagus spears (green giant)
1 english muffin, I'll toast it later and eat it plain
2 nature's valley fruit and nut bars
2 pure protein peanut butter and chocolate bars
1 EAS AdvantEdge RTD choc fudge
I just pick through it all day
Tommorow I will adjust it a little.
i has 2 hard boiled egg's a grilled cold now, chicken breast with some tomato's
& water
Baked Talapia and a lite salad.
Grilled Mako shark with brocoli florrets and a sugar free ceasar dressing I found.
I tried a teriaki style marinade for the shark but it needs some work.
Tuna from a package, some manzanilla olives and some carrots.
this probably won't assist you much, but I'm treating myself to Chipotle today.

When I get bored I have breakfast for lunch. Veggie egg-white omlete or whole wheat waffles with Peanut butter.
Now I feel guilty...
What are you people trying to do? make me feel like garbage?, well almost done it. Yeah, yeah... I'm the bad guy because I ate a fricking whopper with fries, soda and an apple pie to finish it.
I'm not proud but, since I'm under weight, trying to gain & it was raining like hell and the only near thing I had was BK... I think one day ain't gonna kill me right?
Please, don't be too hard on me... :D
9oz of grilled boneless, skinless, chicken breasts; 1 cup of raw broccoli; and a granny smith apple
Salmon, 1/2 c green beans, granny smith apple, water.
SSDD
7oz chicken breast, 1.5 cups spinach, 1/2 a ruby red grapefruit, and 24 almonds.
Ask me tomorrow, and it will be the same thing, except substitute broccoli or green beans in for the spinach! lol
I alternate between a 6oz can of tuna with a tomato sliced up in it and a little ranch dressing, or a tripple scoop protein shake with powd milk.
Common lunches/mid-day meals for me:
Bison, seasoned with chili powder and cumin, cooked with poblano peppers and black beans - served either with a homemade picadillo (diced tomatoes, peppers and onions with cilantro) OR green tomatoes fried up with more chili powder and lots of lime juice.
Chicken and grapefruit salad with red onions, dressed with a mixture of olive or almond oil, mustard, honey (or splenda), rice wine vinegar, and tarragon
Chicken over whatever bagged lettuce mix I grabbed that day, with whatever nuts I grabbed that day (or olives) and whatever veggies looked good (bell peppers and tomatoes most often), some kidney beans or chickpeas - dressed with a lite italian dressing
Turkey or bison burgers with avocado or olives, served with tomatoes in basalmic vinegar
Tuna with a dollop of homemade aioli (like mayo - but made with olive oil) - either over green beans, and drizzled with basalmic dressing OR with curry powder and mixed with diced tart apples
I cook these up or prepare them on my days off and put them in tupperware containers so I can just grab them for work.
